celebrating pastor kimberly
Between now and January 10, we ask that you take time to write a note encouraging and thanking Kimberly for all the ways she has impacted your life. You can drop these off to the office, mail them in or drop in the card boxes at either location.
12 Hours of prayer
Please join us in lifting Pastor Kimberly in prayer as she begins her new ministry at The Urban Mission on January 15. As her church family, we want to cover her in prayer from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. We invite our Carrollton First UMC family to sign up for 30-minute increments (or longer!) to pray for Pastor Kimberly and this exciting chapter in her ministry. Sign up for a time slot below or on one of the signup sheets at either location (Yellow Brick or The Bridge) and help us surround her with love and support through prayer.
a jesus shaped life Study
What shape is your life? Is your life shaped by the world? Is your life shaped by your experiences? Is your life shaped like Jesus? We will be diving into a study led by Kelsey Pitts, on the book ‘A Jesus Shaped Life’ by Bob Rognlien. This book walks through life from an everyday perspective showing how we can shape our lives into that of Jesus in practical ways.
Please join us the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 6-7pm at the Yellow Brick as we help one another move from a culture of consumerism into disciples of Christ.
Dates: January 8; January 22
kingdom youth
We’re back! Kingdom Youth Group kicks off the new year on Thursday, January 9, from 5:30–7:00 PM at the Yellow Brick Church. This group is for youth in grades 6–9, and we’re excited to see you there!
This isn’t just another pizza-and-games night with a quick devotion. We’re reimagining youth ministry to create a discipling culture—one that models the life of Jesus as our ultimate example. Come be a part of something deeper, meaningful, and life-changing.
Bring a friend, and we’ll see you there! ✝️
join vitality!
Have you wanted to join in the different ways we serve the congregation and the community, but aren’t sure how? Do you have a unique vision for how the church could accomplish this in the coming year?
Vitality Team is the group that engages the congregation and the community by hosting events such as Nerf and Nachos, the Graduation Luncheon, Dessert Wars, Free Haircut Events, the Advent Festival, etc. These are wonderful opportunities to spread the word of Jesus, and offer prayer throughout the community through fun and social events.
Please join us for our first Vitality Meeting of the year on Wednesday, January 15th at 5:15pm.
We will be discussing this years’ events, and planning things such as the Graduation Luncheon we host for the Seniors of Carrollton each year, the new Hair Event we’ve added (offering free haircuts, necessities, prayer, support and tools for life of those in need in our community), and so much more! This isn’t a commitment to serve, but fresh ideas and input for new things we can incorporate throughout the year is always welcomed! Please contact Kelsey Pitts for any questions.

new wine prayer group
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, January 15, at 10:00 AM at the Yellow Brick. Following that, we will gather regularly on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month.
The New Wine Prayer Group is an Intercessory Prayer Team with a unique and focused mission: to pray specifically on behalf of our church. Unlike traditional prayer groups that take in requests, our goal is to cover the church, its ministries, and its direction in prayer.

Introducing CFUMC's Month in Photos – a vibrant showcase capturing the heartbeat of our church community! 📸✨
“CFUMC’s Month in Photos" is a captivating compilation that brings to life the diverse happenings within our congregation, ranging from intimate small group gatherings to lively and joyous church events.
We invite each member to actively participate by contributing snapshots of your small group meetings, candid moments from church events, or even cherished worship experiences. It's an opportunity to share the warmth, fellowship, and spirituality that define CFUMC.
Simply snap your photos and send them over to Autumn via email at communications@carrolltonfirstumc.org. Your submissions may be featured in our worship slideshow or on the church website! Let's come together to celebrate and showcase the incredible ways in which God is moving within our congregation.
Safety & Security Team
Carrollton First United Methodist Church is building a Safety and Security Team so that we as a congregation are prepared should a situation arise in our church. Together we can plan, train and prepare for what we must pray will never happen.
If you would like more information, please contact Scott Cartwright. Descriptions of the positions are available from the church office.
